JCC Board of Directors visits Singapore and Malaysia

On February 13th – 15th, Mr. TO Kozo, JCC President (from Sumitomo Corporation Thailand Ltd.) visited Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as part of the JCC Board of Directors' inspection tour in FY2024. On the first day, they went to visit JETRO Singapore office. Mr. KIMURA Yoichi, Managing Director JETRO Singapore gave an overview of Singapore's economy and business. After that, they visited SAF on Jurong Island that was operated by IHI and a Singaporean government-affiliated research institute. At the end of first day, there was the dinner between JCC and Industry in Singapore.


In the next day, we moved from Singapore to Malaysia to visit NTT Data Center in Cyberjaya and the automated driving test facility in MARATHI, a Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology & Innovation. After that, there was the dinner between JCC and Industry in Malaysia.


Although the visit lasted only three days and two nights, it was a valuable opportunity to gain new insights into the latest trends in the environment, information and telecommunications, and other industrial fields that were expected to grow in the future in the two countries.
