JCC Board of Directors visited Northern Thailand

On March 7th – 9th, JCC Board Director members leaded by President Yamashita (from Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd.) conducted inspection visit at Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai.


On the first day, the team flew to Chiang Rai to visit Golden Triangle that was an area where 3 borders of Thailand, Laos or Myanmar and also visited a newly constructed cargo transshipment center by the Thai Ministry of Transport in Chiang Kong, a border town with Laos.


On the second day, they moved from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai to visit Murata Thailand Co., Ltd. Their second factory just started operation in 2023 at the Northern Thailand Industrial Estate in Lamphun.


In the evening, they invited Mr. HIGUCHI Keiichi, Consul-General of Japan in Chiang Mai and Mr. Hirokazu Sasahara, Chair of the Japanese Business Council in Northern Thailand to have dinner session to study the current business situation in Northern Thailand.
